THE BEGINNING: It all started back in the early 1985 when one of my best friends passed me a compilation cassette with various heavy metal bands. Metallica, Gary Moore and Kiss were some of the bands included in that cassette. Side B' started with a song which has changed the way I have viewed music since then and forever! The song started with the drummer playing the drums as if they had killed his mom!! It was Tony's drums from hell! The guitars sounded as wild as their players' looked. They were Chris & Randy. I'm still not really sure what exactly happened inside me the moment I heard the screams of the singer. It was Blackie's voice. Naturally, the band were W.A.S.P. and the song was ''I wanna be somebody''. It was like a saw entering my head! Since then, the music and the lyrics of Blackie Lawless are one of the most important things in my life.

THE FIRST TIME I SAW W.A.S.P. LIVE was in 1999 at the ''Bang Your Head'' festival in Germany. Unfortunately, the band hadn`t visited Greece till that day (except Blackie's quick visit in 1992 for the promotion of ''Crimson Idol''), so I decided to go abroad to watch my mentors in action. It was an absolutely great experience for me, since my dreams of my favourite band were realised in front of my eyes. Since then, I have attended many W.A.S.P. concerts in Greece and other countries like Belgium and Holland (where I was very lucky as I met Darrell, Mike & Stet). The best and worst time of my life was when I met Blackie in Athens in October,13 2006 at ''Meet and Greed'' section of Rock Hard magazine. The best because I had finally met my childhood hero and he signed on three different rare items of my collection (white vinyl of ''Animal'', a rare tapestry from 1985 and the pig-shaped disc of Animal). The worst because unfortunately I never got the photos which were taken by a professional photographer that day :(

MY PRIVATE COLLECTION: It was very hard for me to find all the items I have in my private collection at the moment. In the 80's & 90's unlike other european countries and US of course, there weren`t many record stores where someone could find rare or collectible releases of heavy metal bands in Greece. So, when ebay came into my life in the early 2000, I found the opportunity to collect as many items as I could! So, now I consider myself one of the biggest W.A.S.P. collectors of the world (althought I'm still looking for items that are missing from my collection).

MY BANDS & MY MUSIC: W.A.S.P. was no doubt one of the main reasons I got involved in music as a musician. I started playing guitar at the age of 15 and I bought my first guitar in 1988 dreaming of becoming a rock-star like my heroes. Despite my hard childhood years, I finally managed to play my music and so many hard rock and heavy metal covers successfully with the bands I have been involved in all these years. ''Wild Child'', ''L.O.V.E. Machine'', ''The Idol'' & ''The Raging Storm'' are some of W.A.S.P.`s tracks I have played with ''Hideaway'' along with many ballads with the unplugged version of ''Misconception''.

SLEEPING IN THE FIRE GREEK FAN CLUB: I thought that the best way to show my love to the band which I love so, was to create a fan club for them. So, in the early 2000 and after taking waspnation's permission, I designed the first W.A.S.P. greek fan club named ''Sleeping In The Fire''. Now, almost ten years later, I present all of you with a new, totally updated version of this site. I hope everyone will visit it. I really need your help so as to make this site perfect.
